On the Fast Track with IBEW

Hobbies and pastimes are a great way to create work-life-balance. IBEW Local 2067 encourages work-life-balance, believing a good balance improves overall wellbeing. Local 2067 Member, Bro. Gavin Dayman recently took his hobby to a new level, also providing an opportunity for Local 2067 promotion in the community. This past spring, Bro. Dayman jacked-up his commitment to mud racing and the Canadian Mud Racing Organization (CMRO). This dedication meant he needed help for his team, Lucky Sevens Racing, to compete at the highest level in Western Canada. Enter IBEW Local 2067 (and other sponsors). Bro. Dayman secured sponsorship from Local 2067 Executive in return for visibility at CMRO and other events. “The Local became one of my primary sponsors, receiving event announcements and permanent decaling on the truck (Wild Child) and race trailer” stated Bro. Dayman. “It takes a surprising amount of finances to perform at such a high level for a summer, I couldn’t have done so much without IBEW, and other sponsors.” Accomplishments this season: 1st, 2nd, three 3rd place wins, and narrowly missed the podium at another race; great results considering the top 2 trucks both have larger engines and 15+ years’ experience. Keep on truckin’ Bro. Dayman.
